Support for Apache Spark 3.3*

Description

Spark 3.3.0 was released in June 2022 and contains critical security fixes best adopted by the community. The lack of support for the Cassandra connector, caused by interface changes on unstable marked source within Spark, mean that users dependent on this connector cannot upgrade. The objective of this story is to ensure support for these interfaces, to be validated against Spark 3.3.0 and above.

This is a sub-component of but does not focus on upgrading scala or providing java 17 support.
